I'm down to three days of classes and then finals week of year number four. I'm getting to the end, just a lot slower than most people. One big research paper and four tests. That's not too bad, especially since two of the tests are PE tests! Piece of cake. I think if I leave my cell phone off tonight, tomorrow, and Thursday, I should be able to conquer the research paper without any distractions... Well except my ability to focus for long periods of time doesn't exist, thus I'm blogging.
I've found so many things to keep me busy. Sometimes I think too many things. Family Home Evening is going to drive me to drink some days. Last night we had our last big tri-ward activity. So much work was put into it and I was exhausted by the end. I just hope those who came enjoyed themselves. Next week is our last big ward activity. We're doing some dutch oven and just hangin out. I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty excited that it's almost summer and thus we'll have less stressful activites. The one thing that discourages me the most about the work I put into FHE is the lack of participation. Our church leaders have told us how important Family Home Evening is, right? So why do so many single adults make everything else a priority on Monday nights? We try so hard to make our ward feel more united and more like a family.

City league volleyball. *cough cough*
Actually, the problem is not just FHE. The problem is in all areas. Our participation rate is really low for virtually every activity, including sometimes, church attendance.
I really did enjoy Monday night, but I find that sometimes the activities that don't take a lot of effort or preparation are sometimes the most fun.
Also... remember the slip 'n' slide and wings. Best activity ever.
Yes, I agree that was the best activity ever. I have told Tyson we need to do it this summer for sure!
"...just a lot slower than most people." Pft! Ben has been in school for 8 years and he's not even a dr. or anything. Same with my friend Lisa.
FHE is going to "drive me to drink"?? Lol. You sound like mom.
I must confess I hardly ever went to FHE in my singles wards. Why? It seemed like everyone was just there to find a mate, which made it sort of awkward.
